My bad. The first screen during the flightcene_tool uninstall process asked if I wanted to delete a couple of files and I clicked the YES (to uninstall, yes?) Seems one was animan.exe and a I can't remember the other one Afterward the new install (with the new config_tool) went smooth but no airport...

Thanks for that. FSX-SE no longer requires their version to run only through Steam and there is a full-installation FSX icon on the desktop. This is a full blown version of FSX which runs separately from Steam and should work with the procedure you outlined I understand to use the new (updated) vers...
