fscene and P3Dv4.4

Postby Cyrille de Lattre » Mon Mar 25, 2019 4:28 pm

Hello,

First the install went OK. All seems to be in good place. I use P3DV4.4 and not FSX, not installed.
When I run the scenery, at first no building at all at NTAA. I went through the forum and found somewhere that simconnect from the redist directory should be reinstalled. I did. Then now I have some black part of building, but no apron nor complete building, nor no turn around at the end of the runway.

I have no idea what i missed, and of course no antivirus ect..

Are you getting black buildings?

Try deleting the shader cache folder under:

C:\Users\<YOU>\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Shaders

P3D will rebuild it next time you start it.

Try cleaning your registry with the free ccleaner tool:

https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download

Then restart your computer, register the scenery again and see if it works.

Good morning,

After searching and by trial and error, I found out:
1/ Even after registering the product, when i try to search for updates, it says downloading but at the end of it nothing appears, or it is transparent for the user, but the way it is, let me think that it is downloading something, but where to?
2/ I have had to edit myself the DLL and EXE, because the entries where not done automatically.
3/ According to what I have seen in the forum, Animan EXE was not by default in the correct place, it was in an animan sub directory under the main Flightscene directory...
4/ Every time you are adding a new scenery, the addon config file is edited and the lines for NTAA are erased, thus the scenery disappears...

Now it is working perfectly till i add a new scenery

Are you using P3D v4? And are you using the most recent version of the installer?

I use P3DV4.4 and bought the product from Simmarket March 25 2019
The property file says version 1.0.0.0 on the exe file.

Do not know if that helps

For P3D v4 there should be no need to add the DLL.XML and EXE.XML entries, since the the add-on.xml method is used to install the scenery.

Hello,

I have the same problem. Using P3DV4.5HF2 and i can tell i dont see any buildings like the fellow pilot above.

Also, there are no entries in the addon CFG file, but in the Scenery files instead..... The entries are there as per manual, and even adding the entries for EXE and DLL XMLs, wont work either.

I tried updating it and did not work.... im trying unistall and reinstall...

Ups, easy one.

After full format and windows reinstall to get a HF2 clean installation, i forgot to register the scenery. Just registered and everything went well...

Thanks... Happy Flying!
